PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE WOMENS LEAGUE

31 July , 2007

With only one month left until spring, the 2007/2008 lacrosse season approaches - a busy time for the NZWLA bees. Several changes have been proposed for the League for the upcoming season. Firstly, a change in game days from Sunday to Saturday afternoons. Depending on number of teams entered, games would start around 12pm. Another change put forward to the committee is the idea of playing the majority of League games at one central location.

Finally, we hope to align the men and womens leagues - something that has often been discussed in previous years but was never successful. Mens and womens games will be played side-by-side, with the aims of heightening interest in lacrosse, encouraging social aspects, drawing crowds - and providing more support from the sidelines!

Please email your club rep with your views on these topics. And get ready for a great season!
