The New Zealand U20 Men’s Team represented Aotearoa with pride and determination at the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship, held in Jeju, South Korea. Competing against some of the world’s strongest lacrosse nations, the team displayed resilience, growth, and a commitment to high-performance standards throughout the tournament.

New Zealand began pool play with tough matchups against higher-ranked opponents, showing strong defensive structure and flashes of attacking brilliance even when results didn’t go their way. As the tournament progressed, the team gained confidence and cohesion, adapting well to the international pace and physicality of play. In the placement rounds, New Zealand secured a decisive victory over China, showcasing their skill, teamwork, and relentless spirit to close their campaign on a high note.

Beyond the scoreboard, the tournament offered invaluable experience for this emerging group of athletes. Competing on the world stage allowed players and coaches to benchmark against global standards, identify key areas for development, and strengthen the foundation for future senior national teams. The athletes embodied the values of commitment, teamwork, and respect, earning praise for their sportsmanship and representation of New Zealand lacrosse.
