2019 New Zealand U19 Head Coach Appointment

The New Zealand Women’s Lacrosse Association (NZWLA) are pleased to announce the Head Coach for the New Zealand U19 Women’s Lacrosse Team for the 2019 FIL World Championships in Petersborough, Canada.

Rosie Gunn has been confirmed as Head Coach after an exhausting search with several applicants from New Zealand and overseas.

Rosie has been involved in New Zealand lacrosse as a player and coach for over a decade. More recently she was an Assistant Coach at the recent 2017 FIL Women’s World Cup in Guildford, England where the New Zealand Women’s Team finished a breakthrough 8th place.

Rosie will bring some of those experiences of that campaign forward and is excited about the challenge ahead.

The NZWLA would like to congratulate Rosie and look forward to supporting her in her new role.

Next week the NZWLA will be posting information for all potential players interested in participating and being considered for selection into the New Zealand U19 Programme.

In addition, Assistant Coach expressions of interest will be sought from  Monday 14th of August.
