Bob Macaluso reappointed as Head Coach for NZ Men’s National Lacrosse Team.

The New Zealand Lacrosse Association is delighted to announce that Bob Macaluso has been reappointed as the Head Coach for the New Zealand Men’s National Lacrosse Team.

The NZLA has set a target of having a NZ head coach and a National Team that has no more than 4 overseas players by 2022.

Coach Macaluso will help achieve this goal by delivering a programme that will focus on developing the emerging talent that exists within New Zealand. This is not only about the development of younger players in New Zealand but is also about developing New Zealand based coaches.

Having successfully coached the NZ team that finished 12th at the 2014 World Championships in Denver, Coach Macaluso knows what it takes to build a team to compete at this level.

“There is no better person to help guide NZ Lacrosse at this time than Coach Macaluso. He understands the kiwi culture and shares our desire to plan for the future and build the game of Lacrosse here in New Zealand.” David Zussman President NZLA
