Job Vacancy – High Performance Director, NZ Women’s Lacrosse

High Performance Director  |   NZ Women’s Lacrosse

NZ Women’s Lacrosse (NZWLA) is seeking an experienced and energetic High Performance Director (HPD) to drive the high performance aspects of the sport of women’s lacrosse across NZ.

This role is both strategic and operational in nature and the right applicant will be able to juggle both attributes seamlessly. A ‘can do’ attitude is a must; this is a significant role . The HPD has overall responsibility for driving the high performance programs (U15, U19, U23 and Senior NZBLAX) and working collaboratively with the NZWLA Executive, High Performance Academy Staff, Coaching staff and Players.

The sport of lacrosse in NZ has gone through a lot of change and the recent development of a High Performance Academy has enabled, for the first time, performance pathways. The HPD will continue to develop these pathways through the Academy.

This role would suit someone located in the Auckland region who has experience in high performance sport. Ideally, you will have created, developed and led a high performance program or been part of a team that has done so with successful outcome. You will need to understand the basics of planning a national program, financial management, budgeting, and reporting. The ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with key stakeholders is a vital part of the role.

This role is voluntary and without remuneration. Please see PD for more information, found here

Applications close on Friday 26 June.

Please submit your applications or any questions you have to nzwpresident@gmail.com marked for the attention of Hannah Doney. Applications should consist of a succinct covering letter and a CV of no more than 2 pages. Please provide details of 2 referees relevant to your High Performance experience.
