New Zealand Lacrosse is proud to announce the New Zealand Women’s Lacrosse Sixes Team who will represent Aotearoa at the upcoming Asia-Pacific Lacrosse Union (APLU) Sixes Championships on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, in October 2026.

The team brings together a talented group of athletes from across New Zealand and overseas, selected through a competitive national selection process. The squad combines experienced international players with emerging talent, creating an exciting mix of skill, speed and versatility that reflects the continued growth of women’s lacrosse in New Zealand.
The Road to LA28
The APLU Championships represent an important step on the international pathway for Lacrosse Sixes. With Sixes featuring at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, the tournament provides an exciting opportunity for New Zealand to compete against the leading nations in the Asia-Pacific region and continue building towards the future of Olympic lacrosse.
The fast-paced nature of Sixes demands high levels of fitness, decision-making, adaptability and teamwork. The New Zealand squad has been working hard throughout the preparation period to develop strong combinations, establish team systems and build the connections required to perform on the international stage.
Representing New Zealand
For the players selected, representing New Zealand is a significant achievement and an opportunity to wear the silver fern on the international stage. The team will head to the Sunshine Coast determined to compete strongly, embrace the challenge of international Sixes and represent their country with pride.
