Open Position – NZBLAX Assistant Coach 2017 World Cup Campaign

The New Zealand Women’s Lacrosse Association (NZWLA) is looking to fill their 2017 NZBLAX Assistant Coach positions, working alongside the National Team Head Coach to select and coach a team of players to Elite World status at the 2017 FIL Women’s Lacrosse World Cup.

Being part of a team of highly driven individuals, you will be responsible for not only the selection of the squad, but also in delivering an elite coaching program for the 2017 World Cup. You will also assist in the administration and delivery of coach documentation.

You will bring to the role your previous experience in coaching youth and senior women’s lacrosse teams at national level, your experience and understanding of the NZ Lacrosse coaching style and playing systems, and your ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach to take a player first approach in considering the needs of the team.

Your positive and proactive approach and mindset, coupled with your strong time management, organization and long term planning skills will see you succeed in the role. You will be given the opportunity to stamp your mark on the role, fitting into the team culture and driving the team to achieve their goal of Elite World Status at the 2017 FIL Women’s Lacrosse World Cup.

Applicants must be a New Zealand resident, based in either Auckland or Waikato, and available for 80% of training camps and team tours from December 2015 to August 2017; the first being a training camp on 26 December to 31 December 2015.

Please note, this is a voluntary position, there will be no remuneration associated with the role.
