U19 NZ Women’s Team Start the World Champs Strong

The NZ U19s are playing exceptionally well at the U19 World Champs with close scores against higher ranked teams. 

In their first game against 8th ranked Japan they led 6-4 at half time with a final score of 9-8 to Japan. 

Their second game against newcomer Israel saw a 19-0 will with Tegan Edmonds awarded Player of the Game. 

In a cross-over match against 5th ranked Wales they impressed again with a close 11-10 loss in golden goal extra time.
